Cathedral in Mexico City

We caught the minibus that took us to the metro station and we changed  lines two times to get out at the Zocalo metro stop. When we emerged from the metro, we were standing right in front of a huge cathedral, we walked inside.  We learned later that it has 14 working chapels and we saw a priest sprinkling holy water on a line of people, saw people knee at a confessional, heard a sermon over a loud speaker and noted that baptisms would be performed on Saturdays from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.  We took photos (no flash—as requested by the signs) and were amazed at the vastness of the structure.
